Maui, known also as “The Valley Isle,” is the second largest Hawaiian island. The island beloved for its world-famous beaches, the sacred Iao Valley, views of migrating humpback whales (during winter months), farm-to-table cuisine and the magnificent sunrise and sunset from Haleakala.

Here are a few tips and tricks if you'd like to eat with our spending 30$ on a sandwich.

Hands down most cost effective place too eat on the island is COSTCO. Their restaurant is located outside so no membership cards are required.

Other options include grocery stores like Safeway and Whole foods.

HALEAKALA VOLCANO

Haleakalā, or the East Maui Volcano, is a massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. The western 25% of the island is formed by another volcano, Mauna Kahalawai, also referred to as the West Maui Mountains. The tallest peak of Haleakalā, at 10,023 feet, is Puʻu ʻUlaʻula

BAMBOO FOREST

The incredibly beautiful Bamboo Forest is located on the mauka side (mountain side), between mile marker 6 and 7 en route to Hana. This Maui hidden gem provides enthusiasts with a glimpse of ‘Old Hawaii,’ and a chance to experience more of the surreal beauty that Maui has to offer.

KE'ANEA ARBORETUM

The Ke'anea Arboretum and the towns of Kula, Makawao and Haiku boast groves of colorful eucalyptus trees and the most vibrant are at Mile Marker 7 along Maui's most scenic drive. It's the only eucalyptus species found in the Northern Hemisphere.
